Travels TO Delaware
Doug, Chloe, and I flew out on December 21st with Destin and his girlfriend Chel. We had a fun experience because our plane was delayed two hours. Doug and I planned to be there and hour early, but then there was traffic so we left even earlier. Well we ended up not hitting any traffic and then security only took us 5 minutes..10 tops. We sat down and we were feeling good because we had no stresses and we only had to wait a couple hours for take off. Then we notice the screen to our left and it says SLC to PHL 7:00pm. We couldn't believe it! So we hung out in the airport for 4 hours, and ate at Burger King twice. Ridiculous! Well Destin and Chel got to the airport around 5 or so and we all hung out until take off. Doug and I were lucky because there wasn't anyone sitting with us in our row, so we were definitely comfy.
Delaware
Whenever we go to Delaware, we have certain foods we HAVE to get. We always eat at Pat's and get a yummy cheese steak, we get a Wawa sub, and finally we get Rita's water ice. We ate at Pat's 3 times while Doug was there, and he was only there for 6 days! So worth every penny!
Charisse and Stephen got there with their girls the day after we got there and they are the cutest little girls! They are such sisters and remind me of Raina and Me when we were little. Clara just follows Sammi wherever she goes. Sammi is a cute little independent girl with an amazing imagination! And Clara is a little chunker that will eat anything you give her. She also has a 6th sense for treats. I thought Charisse was exaggerating when she told me that...but no....she totally does.
Maraina and Danny got there the next day and then everyone was there altogether. It was really nice because Dalton had a break from school. Last time we were altogether he had to be at lacrosse practice and school, so we could all actually hang out.
On Christmas Eve we had our usual Christmas Eve dinner...and it was delicious! We acted out the Christmas story together as a family and it was pretty funny. Chloe was baby Jesus, Destin and Chel were Mary and Joseph, Sammi was the Angel, Clara, Charisse and my Dad were the Wisemen, Doug, Raina, Danny, and I were the Shepherds, and Stephen was the narrator. I think Dalton and my Mom were in charge of the music. (I should have wrote this right after Christmas, because this is hard to remember. haha.) After the Christmas story we opened our Christmas Eve presents. My parents got us all these robot toys from Jou Jou (the toy store my brother helped design). They were pretty neat because they came as four tubes and you cut them, then bent them and connected them to make them into the final product. Awful description, but cool anyway. Doug and I got Chloe a cute pair of winter pajamas, and Charisse made Sammi and Clara adorable night gowns.
Doug had to leave the day after Christmas, so that sucked, but I had a good rest of the time I was there. I got to meet up with one of my good friends from high school, Renae. Usually when people say "yea let's get together!" It doesn't ever happen. So I was really glad that this worked out! It was so nice to catch up!

On Our Way Back
Tuesday morning we left a little late to the airport and security was crazy long! We only got 4 of the 6 of us on the flight. Chloe is the only reason we were lucky to get 4 of us! We definitely cut it close. But I need to thank Danny for carrying all of my stuff while we ran through the airport. I wish we had a camera..we looked ridiculous! I was running with a baby in my arms. Raina had a few bags and then Danny was running with my carry on, his carry on, I think on of Raina's bags, Chloe's diaper bag, and then Chloe's car seat. I couldn't have made it without you two! Thank you!
