Stay at Home Mom
I have been thinking a lot lately about people calling Mitt Romney's wife "lazy" or "never worked a day in her life" because she stayed at home to raise her 5 kids. I really don't understand that logic. How is raising 5 kids not work?
I have had the opportunity to be a stay at home Mom and that is a decision that both my husband and I have made. We carefully weighed our options and thought it would be best if I stopped working and stayed home with Chloe. We would be making quite a bit of money right now if I decided to work, but we thought, for our family it would be more important to stay at home. But this decision doesn't make me lazy or even "not hard working." Some parents decide that they are both going to work and put their kids in child care, some parents have to work in order to pay the bills, and yes they are hard working. But don't judge people for the decision to stay at home with their kids.

Mothers Day
This is a pretty late post, but I wanted to write a post to my Momma.
Dear Mom,
Thank you for everything you have done for me. Thank you for laughing with me when I was a little babe. Thank you for making me birthday cakes and a birthday dinners every year. Thank you for coming to all of my sporting events. Thank you for loving me even with all of my faults. Thank you for believing in me even when I thought I wasn't smart. Thank you for getting me help so I could feel smart. Thank you for always giving me the benefit of the doubt. Thank you for supporting me through my good and bad decisions. Thank you for pushing me to get my patriarchal blessing to help me see what really matters in life. Thank you for believing me when I told you that I was supposed to marry Doug even though I was only 19. Thank you for helping me plan my wedding even though we only had 2 months to do it. Thank you for being such an awesome Grandmother to my daughter even when you live across the country. Thank you for loving me unconditionally. I love you Mom!
Love,
Caitlyn

6 Months
On April 25th Chloe turned 6 months! She is growing and learning so much! She had her 6 month check up on the 27th. I was a little surprised with her stats..I expected her to be a lot heavier.
6 Month Stats:
Height - 27.1 in - 91%
Weight - 16.1 lbs - 48%
Head Circ - 16.3 in - 27%
The doctor says that she is really healthy and looking great! She still has a partially clogged tear duct, but we are hoping that will go away. He also said that we will need to baby proof soon because she looks like she will be moving around more, which in a way shocked me, but at the same time I wasn't too surprised. She is always reaching for things, and has been sitting up since about 5 months, and steadily since 51/2 months.

She tore up the paper
She was a trooper through her shots.
Things she loves/things she can do:
Food - all kinds - She is a social eater. If she see's you eating, she eyes you down until you give her some of your food. She eats a lot too. She definitely loves her food.
Reaching for things
Twisting her feet while eating/Talking
Trying new things
Laughing
Mom and Dad
This is when we went and fed the ducks at Doug's work during his lunch break.
Her jumper
Her toys/taking her toys out of the bin and scattering them around
She loves smiling
Chewing on things/holding things in her hands and plays with it
Sucking on her toes
Rolling over after we lay her down to sleep.
Helping Mom with laundry
Her new crib that her Grandpa Cox made her
We love her so much and we are so happy that she is a part of our lives! She puts a smile on our faces every day!
Our baby girl is growing up! And I love every minute of it!
Graduation
This semester we had 3 graduates from my family! Maraina, her husband Dannny, and Doug! Congratulations you guys! Because of the festivities, my parents came out to visit! We had such a great time!
When my parents got into town, Raina, Danny, and I went up to meet them for lunch with my Grandparents. It was so nice to see them! We haven't seen them since Christmas..that means they haven't seen Chloe since then too. She has grown just a bit since then.

Grandpa, Grandma, and my Pops
After lunch we went over to Destin's house and met Oliver. He is absolutely the cutest puppy in the world. He is a little weiner dog, and Chloe loved him!
We all (minus Doug, he had to work) went to Maraina and Danny's graduation and saw them walk. They got to walk together! It was probably twice as long as my graduation, but it was fun to see them walk across the stage. After graduation we went up to a park in Orem and had a fun graduation lunch. All of Danny's family came too.
She kept this hat on for quite a while
On Saturday we went to Pat's BBQ for Doug's graduation dinner. It was delicious.
After dinner we went and checked out City Creek. It is so nice! We ran into some friends there too!
This is my Dad putting Chloe to sleep. She was an ornery little baby. haha.
We had a great time with my parents, next time I hope Dalton and Charisse's family can come too! I am so grateful for the technology that we have though, because even though my family lives all over the country, we can still see each other!
