The Buhler's: June 2012

8 Months Old

Well I completely skipped 7 months, but that's ok. Chloe is sooo big now! Doug and I have to start looking for the next size car seat because she is getting tall. She weighs between 19 and 20 pounds and is a wiggler. She loves to climb all over us. She is still a really good sleeper, she is down to 2 naps a day. She is teething, and has been for a few months, but no teeth yet.

She loves to:
stand
walk (while we hold her hands)
roll
stand
stand
stand (I say this a lot because she loooves it. If she sees or feels our arms she grabs them to pull herself up.)
talk (dada, mmmmmoommmm, nana, wawa, baba)
sing
pull herself up
play in the tub and splash me
play in the pool
play with toys
wave
play with Dad (at night, it is all about Doug)
get jealous of other babies
play with her friends Ellie and Jackson
cuddle with her blanket while she sleeps (She is like me, it doesn't matter how hot it is, I have to have a blanket in my arms)

She loves to eat:
all by herself
all fruit
green beans (only cut up)
cheerios
anything we are eating
slurpees
cake
pretzels
Basically our girl loves to eat ALL food.

Hiking, The Price's, and Father's Day

We decided to buy a hiking back pack so we could go on hikes with Chloe this summer! This is when me and my sister hiked the Y.

Afterwards, we went over to Raina's friends house and she looooved this chair.

This is when Doug and I went with our friends Scott and Mindi and hiked up in Santaquin. It was a lot of fun!

The Price's came to visit! Well they are still in Utah, just up north for now. We have done a lot while they were in Utah County. The best was to watch Chloe and her 1 year old cousin, Clarke, play. They are so cute together!

Father's Day was good this year. Doug got brand new dirt bike gear so I didn't want to spend anymore money for Father's Day, but I wanted to get him something so my sister helped me with a project.

And then Kari helped me with making him a card with her hand print on it.

Happy Father's Day Douglas! Thank you for being such an amazing father to our daughter!!

Happy Father's day Daddy! Thank you for being such an amazing Dad to me! I'm so excited to see you in July!!!

Dirt Bikes and Swimming

Doug and I have talked almost our whole marriage about me getting a dirt bike and learning how to ride. He has been an avid rider since he was little, and it has always looked like a lot of fun! So one of Phil's friends let us borrow his wife's bike! I started out super, super, slow, but I got better throughout the day. Doug was so patient with me, and gave awesome instructions. I fell once, but i just got in some soft dirt and tipped over when I was about stopped. so it didn't hurt. Dan (Phil's wife) did so good! She fell in that same spot that I did, but she even got on Phil's bike and road around! She has way more guts than me.

Swimming! After riding all morning, we decided to take a nice plunge in the pool. The pool was freezing! But Chloe really liked it. She was worried at first, but we eased her into it, and she ended up really loving it!

Joe and Taraya's Wedding

In May, our good friends Joe and Taraya got married!! Joe definitely won the game. Taraya is beautiful and fun and I'm so glad that my hubby's best friend married someone fun, because let's be honest, we will be friends forever. That's just how it goes with best friends. The sealing was beautiful, and the reception was a lot of fun! Thanks to Grandpa Wayne and Grandma Kari for bringing Chloe back to their house so we could party.
